I’m still working on it, but after all the helpful comments on my previous post I’ve started putting cards on my etsy shop, busylittlesisters.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, I’m not very up on all of this online retailing business but I suppose one ought to move with the times, eh what?

Teatime treats card for sale at busylittlesisters on etsy. I hope to be adding more teatime cards anon.

  1. I love this! A wonderful photo – I remember the post it comes from, with your afternoon tea. Looking forward to seeing what else you have chosen. Had a quick look at your etsy site – looking really good! 🙂

    • Thank you, Jo, and thank you for your comments on the previous post, they certainly had an impact. I think it’ll be a while before I get it all set up properly but such is the way of things with modern technology, at least where I’m concerned.

    • I can’t say I have, no. I know very little about the technicalities, I just point, shoot and hope for the best. As with everything else I do, this is on a very amateur scale.

    • Thanks Heather, I must say that photographs of food always make me feel a bit desperate so I prefer to avoid them on cards. If I had pictures of cakes sitting on my mantlepiece I might begin to get a bit distressed.

    • Thanks, Meg. When I went back onto Etsy recently to find the shop I’d set up ages ago I was surprised by the name as I didn’t remember calling it that. I like it though. 🙂

  2. Wow you don’t mess about, Lorna! Your shop looks great and I love the name. I’m not quite sure why photographs of food make you feel “a bit desperate” but you will just have to wait and see what your public prefer! All the best with this venture. x

    • Thanks, Christine, I admit I dropped everything else to do it but sometimes you have to strike while the iron’s hot. The feeling of desperation comes from having pictures of tempting treats sitting in front of me that I can’t actually eat. I don’t even like looking at the card with the raspberry buns on it.

  3. Oh dear, I just read this post, so forget what I wrote on your last one about selling on Etsy. I try to keep up on posts but work gets in the way (I can’t wait to retire!). Good for you for “moving with the times”…

    • I’m grateful that you find the time to read my blog at all, since there are so many other distractions in life (work is one huge distraction all right – roll on retirement!). 🙂
